23rd annual Cambridge Tour de Grand Bicycle Ride Sunday, June 14, 2020

  1. CAMBRIDGE TOUR DE GRAND CANCELLED - We regret to inform you that the 2020 Cambridge Tour de Grand has been cancelled due to the CoVid – 19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The safety and health of our riders and volunteers is our most important priority. Based on public health directives to avoid gatherings of more than 50 persons, and with the uncertainty as to the end of the pandemic, the decision was made to cancel the Tour for this year.
  2. HELP US, HELP OTHERS, FUNDRAISING – this year for the first time the Cambridge Tour de Grand instituted a fundraising campaign to support, both local and international charitable organizations. This year, more than ever before, these charities need your support. If you can, we would welcome you to make your charitable donation. Check out the Fundraising tab on our website for details of our five charities.

    Donations can be made by credit card or cheque payable to the Cambridge Tour de Grand and sent to Cambridge Tour de Grand c/o Don Pavey, 14 Aberdeen Road South, Cambridge, ON N1S 2X4.

    To make a donation by credit card please contact Don Pavey at 519-240-5325 or email [email protected] with the name on your card, the card number, date of expiry, card security code and the amount of your donation.

    A charitable receipt for donations of $20.00 or more will be issued promptly.
  3. ALREADY REGISTERED - if you have already registered and made a charitable donation, we will be contacting you directly in the next few weeks as to the options that you have for your registration and donation.
  4. WANT TO RIDE – even though the Cambridge Tour de Grand is not taking place this year, we would welcome you to keep the spirit of the ride going and dig up one of your previous Tour de Grand T-shirts or jerseys and pick a day to get some fresh air and ride one of our eleven routes wearing your shirt or jersey. Send a picture to Don Pavey at [email protected] We will post as many pictures as we can to our website. Try one of the 10, 15, 25, 40, 50, 60, 72, 100, 160 km routes or the 50 & 76 km gravel & trail routes. Maps and full route descriptions are on our website.
  5. 2021 RIDE – by this time next year we will be in full preparation for the 2021 Cambridge Tour de Grand on Sunday, June 13, 2021. See you in 2021.

Parking Locations

  1. Main Parking Lot - 200 Christopher Drive, Cambridge, N1R 4S4
    There is parking at the Duncan McIntosh Arena both at the paved parking area, adjacent to the Arena and on the grass area beside the playing fields. Please do not park on the ball diamonds. Both of these areas are accessed by the driveway from Christopher Drive. These parking areas fill up first. The Arena where registration takes place is visible from these parking areas.
  2. Upper Parking Lot - Water Street Entrance
    There is a small parking lot at the far west end of Churchill Park which is accessed from the Water Street entrance to Churchill Park. The Arena is accessed by proceeding down the paved trail found at the east end of the Upper Parking Lot, past the playgrounds to the Arena on the left side of the paved trail. CAUTION - The paved trail is used for the 10, 15 and 25 km rides, so watch for cyclists both in front and behind you on the paved trail.
  1. Camping Area Parking - Two Entrances
    There are parking spots at the campsites in the camping area which is directly south of the above mentioned Upper Parking Lot. The Camping Area Parking can be accessed from the Water Street entrance to Churchill Park or from the gated entrance off of Myers Road, on the north side at the bottom of the hill if you are driving west on Myers Road or just east of the Tim Hortons plaza, if you are driving east on Myers Road. The Arena is accessed by proceeding north from the camping area to the Upper Parking Lot referred to above. Follow the paved trail found at the east end of the Upper Parking Lot, past the playgrounds to the Arena on the left side of the paved trail. CAUTION - The paved trail is used for the 10, 15 and 25 km rides, so watch for cyclists both in front and behind you on the paved trail.
  2. Monsignor Doyle Catholic Secondary School - 185 Myers Road, Cambridge N1R 7H2
    Parking is available in the school parking lot. If you are driving east on Myers Road, the entrance is on the right side of Myers Road immediately east of the stoplights at Myers Road and Christopher Drive. If you are driving west on Myers Road, the entrance is on the left side of Myers Road, immediately past Lorraine Drive and before the stoplights. To access the Arena from the parking lot, turn left toward the stoplights at Myers Road and Christopher Drive, right at the stoplights, down the hill on Christopher Drive and left into the long driveway to Churchill Park with the Arena straight ahead.
  3. Glenview Park Secondary School - 55 Mckay Street, Cambridge N1R 4G6
    Parking is available in the school parking lot. If you are driving south on Christopher Drive, turn right at Ballantyne Avenue and left on Mckay Street. Follow Mckay Street to the end and the school. If you are driving north on Christopher Drive, turn left on Stewart Avenue, go past Stewart Avenue Public School, turn left on Mckay Street. Follow Mckay Street to the end and the school. To access the Arena, follow the trail from the south side of the parking lot to the Arena.
